Alan Sims concentrates his practice on complex wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation, as well as single-plaintiff matters under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). In addition to litigation, he provides day-to-day advice and counsel to employers across diverse industries, with particular experience advising breweries, startups and sports-related organizations.
In addition to his litigation and counseling work, Alan partners with clients to strengthen workplace compliance through training programs. He regularly conducts sessions on preventing harassment and equips managers with practical tools for conducting effective internal investigations – helping organizations meet legal requirements while fostering a respectful workplace culture. Committed to giving back, Alan also provides pro bono services through Kids in Need of Defense (KIND).
During law school, Alan served on the Pepperdine Law Review, externed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Legal Unit, and was a summer associate in Littler’s Los Angeles office.
